Advertising Opportunities
As well as being able to upgrade your listing we can provide advertising on our sailing websites.
We offer three sizes of banners:
Small Banner
155x80 Pixels (20kb max)
£450+vat per page per year
Your advert is placed on the left hand menu bar of our site and will link directly to your website.
Medium Banner
468x80 Pixels (55kb max)
£650+vat per page per year
Your banner advert is placed at the top of the page and will link directly to your website.
Skyscraper
155x800 Pixels (90kb max)
Purchased per page per calendar month
Price determined by auction.
This larger advertisement will be displayed at the top right of the page (like the example on this page). There will be just one skyscraper per page.
You can choose one of these formats for your skyscraper:
- Animated GIF
- JPEG
- Flash
- XML driven HTML (e.g. to display your special offers)
The 1 pixel blue border which surrounds your skyscraper will be in addition to your 155x800 space. The skyscraper will link directly to your website.
It is also possible to purchase text or sentence links:
Text Link
Prices vary depending on the page the link is placed on:

Prices exclude VAT (if applicable) and the link will be online for a whole year.
Your text link will appear on the left hand side of the page below any small banners that are on the page. Your text link will link directly to your website. Please note that text links must be a reasonable mixture of upper and lower case letters and have no more than 30 characters including spaces. eg:
Sentence Link
Prices vary depending on the page the link is placed on:

Your sentence link will appear on the left hand side of the page below any small banners that are on the page. Some of the words in your sentence can form a link directly to your website. Please note that sentences must be a reasonable mixture of upper and lower case letters and have no more than 100 characters including spaces. eg:
Visitor Statistics
We have created a report which displays the most recent visitor and page ranking statistics for our sites.
Advertising Discounts
The following discounts are available if you purchase multiple small or medium banners at the same time:
- Three Banners = 10%
- Six Banners = 20%
- Nine Banners = 30%
We include a free upgrade to a Premium listing for charter companies that purchase a small or medium banner advertisment for a year.
Limited Availability
The following are the absolute maximum number of each type of advert that each page will have:
- 4 Small Banners
- 1 Medium Banner
- 1 Skyscraper
No Pop-ups
Advertising links from our site are search engine friendly and as a result can help improve your site's ranking in the search engines. This is because your adverts link directly to your website and because they do not open a new window.
Traffic Statistics
We are certain that you will be happy with the amount of traffic that your advert generates and provide you with reports to allow you to verify this.
First Come First Served
The positioning of adverts on a page is on a strictly first come first served basis. When a company renews their advertising they will retain their position.
Border Colours
To help maintain the appearance of our site we would appreciate it if you would refrain from using banners with borders of more than 1px width or blue "link" coloured borders.
Cancellation Policy
Premium subscriptions may be cancelled within seven days of the start of your advertising. A refund will be made but any banking or credit card charges incurred in the initial payment or the refund payment will be retained to cover costs.
