Are You Cookie Compliant?

Tuesday 12 February 2013
More than nine months since all UK websites were required to gain 'implied consent' from their users to use cookies to monitor their website visits most websites are still not doing so. The benefits of the EU directive that have lead to this law are debatable but it is now the law so companies have to abide by it by asking their users for consent.

Many of the websites that are telling users that they are using cookies do nothing more than tell users that they are using cookies.

We provide users with this helpful message which makes it easy for them to view the cookies and to delete them:
"We use cookies on our site to give you the best experience. A cookie is a small file that is stored by your browser to help personalise your web experience. By continuing to use our site without changing the settings, you are agreeing to use cookies."
In addition we display a prominent cookie settings tab on the right of every page on our sites.

If you are unsure if your website is cookie compliant simply contact us so we can do a free cookie audit for you.
